Thomas Jefferson 1743 – 1826
“Most bad government has grown out of too much government.”
Thomas Jefferson would be appalled at what has become of the Constitution he so careful, helped craft! He was, perhaps, the greatest thinker that we have ever had for a president. Few men, from any walk of life, have opined as many apt quotes, as he did. Executive Orders definitely would fall into his category of – TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT!
There have been reactions to the Executive Order of March 16, 2012, but not as many as I would have imagined! There are three things of extreme importance that it does – it adds the Department Of Homeland Security to the mix and gives it a large chunk of the activity – it authorizes the president to appropriate anything in this country, without due process – and it also authorizes the president to take any citizen of this country and put that person where and to do what ever he sees fit, also without any due process! What that means to me is that the President now owns this country and its people, lock, stock & barrel! (Pun intended!) It also sounds extremely dictatorial! Are we there yet? Yes, I do believe we are!
“The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it” and
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
The following reactions are from the Fox Network Political Analysis section –
This is a quote from a legal beagle used in the article by Fox. He just forgot to mention that the same applies to people! I have the full executive order shown in my previous post “Maybe The Last Crumb Has Fallen Into Place!” You can check it out there, if you wish to read it for yourself!
The NEW AMERICAN posted an analysis of Obamas Executive Order Dated March 16, 2012 – I am posting a copy – it IS important!
I agree! If you are wondering why the Media is ignoring this one – you haven’t been reading my posts!
For your additional information, I am posting some of the Executive Orders signed by former President W. J. Clinton. During his regular term in office he signed 347! The only other president who came close was Carter! These kind of tactics are usually referred to as serving by decree, and this is usually done when the edicts have a good chance of not going through Congress successfully! That makes executive orders a by-pass of the checks and balances that are supposed to protect us against too much power being drawn into the hands of one branch of government or one person!
“When the people fear they government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”
